THE CROFTER TROUBLE.
Glasgow, January 18. Eleven ctofters arrested last week at Lewis have been acquitted despite the declaration of the Judge that such a verdict would tend to have a bad effect on society. The verdict has created a good deal of amazement. The crofters threaten to clear the deer out of all the forests m Lewis.
