THE END OF THE WORLD AGAIN PREDICTED.
i The Rev M. Baxter, a clergyman of *be Church of England, reoently delivered i three lec'.nres on prophetic events, m Hope Hall, Liverpool. He aald that the | last day of this age would be at 3 o'clock on Tharacay, ltih April, 1901. He predicted that a universal war would wage from October, 1896, to August 1897, and then would come the three and a half years of great tribulation, or the last Antichrist's persecution. He Btated that millions of Christians would everywhere be bnheaded for refusing daring that period to worship the Antichrist or bis image. The leotarer gave the date March to October, 1896, when 144 003 watchful Ooristians would aaoend from earth to heaven. The descent of Christ at the battle of Armagedden to destroy Antichrist and begin the Millen'nm be fixed upon as tbe 11th April, 1901. The lectures were illustrated by a number of diagrams depleting horns, beasts, and aymbolioal figures mentioned m Daniel and Revelations. The lecturer challenged any minister or individual to show that he had made any mistake m the faols he had mentioned, and added that to comprehend these things his hearers must ! take tbe eyeglasses of Daniel, tbe speo j taoles of Revolutions, and the telescope of Isaiah and YzMel.
