NUISANCES.
TO THIC BDITOE.
Fir,— l am not oonveraant with the borough by-laws regarding those struc tures whioh, m c reoont iaaua. you so delloately torm ''Inelegant but useful," but the close prox'mity — In aome quarters — of these buildings to publlo thoronghfarea, demanda the Immediate attention of our uanitiry authorities. As an Initial atop, I would suggest that Borough Omnolllora take a leisurely stroll do »n Oamoron street eaak, starting from the Post Office oornei*, and given auoh fieroaly hct weather us we have experienced lately, on* looal Board of Health will find that the aubjact of thU communication has not been brought under its notice a whit too soon. Recently the odours m tbe locality named have been moat foul and unsavory, and If measures are not promptly taken to remove the cause of complaint, it needs no prophet to f iretell that before summer is over, some residents m that neighborhood will be prostrate with serious illnaae.
