The directors of the South Pacific Petroleum Company, which has its works at Gisborne, have resolved to form a new company with a capital of ;£i()o,qoo m ;£i shares. The present shareholders are to receive j£i per share m cash, and 60,000 shares divided m proportion to the number of shares held at present. The new company will lay the pipe line and build the necessary tankage and machines re-; quired for refining the qil. It is stated there will be no difficulty m floating nhe new company, as all the shares can be tajcen here,
There are 27 acceptors for the Anniversary handicap, including §pade Guinea.
