Melboubns, January %l. It is contemplated to make an attempt to modify the constitution of the Federal Council m consonance with the views of New South Wales and South Australia, m order to induce those colonies to enter the Council.
Sixty seven cases of typhoid fever have been reported during the last six days, ten of which proved fatal. The Colonial Treasurer has received a cable from the Agent-General that the average for the Victorian loan was ;£ioß 13s iod, which is the highest price ever obtained for any colonial Ipan.
