South Inland Native Reserves Bill, Loo<»l Bodies Finance Powers Bill, Mining Act (No. 2) Bill, Naval and Military Land Claims Bill; FISHERIES BILK. The Fisheries Conservation Bill was read a second time. PUBLIC RESBRVJES SALE BILL. The motion for the soiond reading of the Pablic Reserves Sale BUI wan loat on an amendment by Mr Chamberlain that the Bill be read a second time that day week, TAEANAXI MOBNSINO BILL. The Taranaki West Licensing District Bill was read a second time. The Ooanoll rose at 1.30, The Oounoil resumed at 2.30 p.m. FISHERIES BILL, The Oounoil went into Committee on the Fisheries Conservation BID. In clatue 4 a Blight amendment wag made, whloh had the effect of giving the master of any seized vessel an opportunity of proving that seals found m his possession were procured during the open Beacon. Clause 6 received a verbal amendment. The Bill was reported with amend* ments, read a third timp, and pasted. TARANAKI LICENSING! BILL The Taranaki West Luo using District Bill psßsed through committee without amendments, was read a third time, and passed. The Oonnoil at 3 o'clock adjourned to 7.30 p.m. The Oounoil resumed at 7.30. SECOND HEADINGS. The following Bils were read a second time:— Public Aota Amendment Bill, Weafc Ooaat Reaerves Bill, Weatland and Nelaou Reserves Bill, Local Bodies Finanoe and Powers BUI, Mining Act Amendment Bill, Publlo Bodies Bi 1. The AttorneyQeneral moved the second reading af the Naval and Military Land Claims BUI. Mr McLean moved the adjournment of the debate for a fortnight. Carried. COMMITTED. The Counoll went into committee od the Publio Works Act Amendment Bill, which was reported with alight amend* menta and passed its final stages. The following bills were also committed, reported with slight amendments, read a third time and passed :— Publlo Bodies Powers Bill, Weafc Coast Reserves Bill, Weatland and Nelsoi Reserves Bill, Looal Bodies Fiaanoe and Powers Bill and Mining Act Amendment Bill, The Oonnell at 11, adjourned to next day at 11.
