Grey has given notice to move a vote of ceneure on tho Government for having illegally taken away from a largo number of children education righta which they now enjoy. The debate on the Public Works Statement will be taken tc-morrow, when tho Premier will introduce <hn Loan Bill, tho second reading of whfch will bo immediately moved by him, A8 the Financial debate has been hung op apparently for alMlme, It is expected that members will Uke this opportunity of dealing with the whole fiec»l policy of the Government, m addition to the Public Works policy. The Land BUI was m Committee again this afternoon, when the clause providing; for the abolition of Land Boards was debated at length, but wan eventually thrown ont as recommended by the Waste Lands Committee. An effort was then madtF^to hare the Boards mado elective, and a olaneo providing for tbla wts actually carried by 33 t<- SO ; but on the motion of Mr Blch&rjaon it was thrown out m tolo, he promising to consider the advisability of bringing m a Bill next session to |make Boards elective A noticeable feature of the debato was the manner m which members, who aro also members of Land Boards, fought for their privileges, and they voted for tbo retontlon of Boards to a men.
