THE WRECK OF THE BESSIE
«. Dunedin, December 12, A search party waa oat on Saturday and Sunday trying to recover the bodies of Captain Hayward, his bod, and yonng Wilson, drowned by the wreck of the Bessie. Tt appears that the young Haywards and yoang Wilson, who are cabinetmakers, only went for a trip and to assist to work the craft. The Bessie was trying to work oat to era after being at anchor, when she "misced stays. Anchors were let go, bnt the chain focled, and tho eon drove the vessel oft to the locks, and blio capsized. Captain Hayvrard tvaa never seen aftecwaidi. Tho two Hnywarda and Wllaoa were thrown on the rocks, bat were afterwards washed t IF.
