The match, Vernon's Eleven v eleven of Sydney, was continued to day. The weather was fine and the play good, bnt there was only a poor attendance ef spectators. With a score of 286 to their credit, for the loss of five w okets, the Englishmen oontinued their firat innings aud auoeeded ln putting together a total of 340 before all were disposed of, In addition to the Individual scores already reported Peel contributed 74, Newton 30, Vernon 3, Rowling 4, Beamont 2, Attwell (not ont) 13. The looal team followed, and when time was called had scored 186 for two wickets, towards which Macdonald con* trlbuted 112, Bannerman 8, Moses (not out) 47, Allen (not out) 17, extras 2.
