THE AWARUA AGAIN.

Lewis Frederick Drew and Danis Fox ; master and mate respectively of the schooner Awarua, belonging to Mr J. Hatch, ex M. H.R , were charged at the Police Court with having on the 15 h AugUßt at the Auckland I Hands killed 10 seals during the close Beason, and further with having ln their possession at the Auokland Islands the rklns of 176 seals. The offence It is alleged was committed on the occasion of the rescue of the survivors of the Derry Castle by ths schooner, which was formerly engaged for some months by the Government In protecting the sealeries at tbe Aucklands. The case was oonduoted by the Crown Prosecutor, who applied for bu adjournment till Thursday m the abaenoe at Stewart Island of a material witness. Counsel for defendants objeoted, but the application was granted,
