Evidence was then taken about the New Zealand Cup, and, •ffcer consultation, Mr Chapman said he would recommend the defendant to plead guilty to the second charge if the first were withdrawn. This was accepted, and a fine of £30 and 33s costs was inflicted, m default distress or six weeks' imprisonment.
