DISGRACEFUL SCENES.

Becelved November 18, 1.15 p.m. BTDNEY, November 18. Crowning scenes of disorder were reached m the Assembly last night over the Premier's motion for the introduction of the naval defence scheme. The Opposition commenced raising obstructions almost immediately, whereupon it was moved that the question be now put, but to this roost strenuous objections were raised, resulting m a series of scenes of a most exciting and disgraceful character, during which the Speaker was defied, and Walker and Melville, members for Northumberland, and Toohey, member for South Sydney, were named. The Sergeant-at-Arras was ordered to removed Melville from the House, but the order was not carried, and eventually mutual apologies were tendered and accepted, and the motion for the introduction of the Bill agreed to.
