Wellington, November 14. The Annual Session of the New Zealand Baptist Pyuod was opened thin morning, the Rev Ph. Oornford (Naplpr), Ihe President, In the chair. Dewdney, Dauodin~Rev A. North, the Hon T. Dick, and Mr J. Long worth. Caverßbam — Mi W. Inge. Thames — Key W. R. Woollny, Mr J. Renßhaw. Wancanot—Mr Q Carson. Nolaon — Rev J Standri'ig, Mr Blick. K-chmond ( elBon) W. Hart. Aahbur on— iVlr J W. Sawin. Tlmaru — Rev J. Brown. t*reendalh—Rev L Invercargill —Rev J. T Hinton It waa r«pnr(ed that the total member ship was 2785, being an increase of 175 far the year. The number of Sunday sohool scholars was 4109, alao au inarerso on the previooa year. On the motion of the Rev Mr North, seconded by Pastor Driver, it was re■olved that provision be made forthwith (or assisting students for the ministry, and directing their studies. A committee will bo appointed to prepare a eoheme for carrying out the above resolution, and submit it to the Assembly on the last day of meeting. This evening there vras a large public meeting, at which the uau*l Presidential address waß delivered.
