Jadptmnt was given m the Court of Queen's Bench Jaat week m an action br mght by Raalam against Hall, for alleged infringements of patents relative to refrigerating machines. The matter ia of. Importance to New Zialand, as Tyser and Co. 'b new line use Hall's maobiues. Very contradictory messages have been received as to the tenor of the judgment. Shaw, SaviU's agent haa a cable meeaage faying that Haa! am won the action, but Mr Dobicu, of this town, haa received the following contradictory nreaaage : — " Haalam action not yet decided ; further arguments necessary. Selena brl» sailed llfch ltiat." The later announcement jb regarded «s bearing out tMa fi st part d the message, as it ia considered unlikely that the Sdkimbrlti, which is fitted with Hall's maohinca, would have been allowed to sail after judgment of the Court m favor of Haslam
