The motion was agreed to. Mr Shrimski moved — " That papers of the evidence m the Court m the rehearing of the Owhaoko and Kaimanawa land, *s to the withdrawal of the rehearing be printed." The motion was agreed to. Mr Stevena moved the stcond reading of the Hammond Fencing Compensation Bill. Mr Waterhonße opposed the seoond reading of the Bill, which he regarded as being merely brought m to cover the laches of Government employee!. Be moved that the Bill be read that day six months The Attorney-General pointed out that Mr Hammond had not received the money he was entitled to, and which had been awarded by a court of law. Mr Waterhouse withdrew hia amendment. The motion was agreed to, and the Bill was referred to tho Waste Lands Com' mlttee. The Courjcii at 4 p.m. adjourned to Tuesday next.
