A shocking tragedy, which was enaoted on October 13, m Queensland, was discovered on the following morr.lug. A man who was coming into town along the Too won g road found three hats on the river bank, and shortly afterwards saw the body of a little girl floating down the river. Yesterday she took the girl, who was aged six years, and a boy, who was only a few months old, leaving a bo; of five years, with these people, who are named Tudman, and left the house. Shortly afterwards the following letter was found, signed by Mrs Davis : — " My dear Mra Tudman, — Y< v have been a friend to me, and may God reward you When you see this I shall be at the bottom of the river. I leave George with yon, if yon will let him stay with you Goodbye, and God be with yen." The body of Mrs Davis bas since been recovered.
