A NEW AGRICULTURAL IMPLEMENT.
Mr W. Oampbell, blacksmith, of tbe ▲ahbnrtoh Fork*, has designed an Implement which he calls tbe " Combined Bone Hoc and Drill Plough." It was exhibited at the show on Friday lust, and though only In the rough, attraoted a good deal of favorable comment. It can be UMd ai a horse hoe with five tines or as a drill (lough, either for forming drills tot planting or for the removal of root crops. The hoeing apparatas Is con■traeted ilmilarly to tbe ordinary horse hoe, but the tinea are moveable at will being fixed on the frame by an Ingenious eontnvanoe of o'amp and set eorewi. When the Implement is required for drilling one man can m a minute make the requisite alteration!. Tbe mould beards are eonneoted by hinges In front; a one-lnoh let aorew combined with a lever arrangement regulates tbe width of drill; any width c«n be obtained from 20 lnehei to 3ft 6in. The wheel stalk is square and works wl th a thimble la the eys of the plough beam and Is therefore self* Betting as the draught keeps the wheel m ■j dlreot line when the implement Ii at work. The only tool required is a eombioed hammer and wrench. The price of the Implement hat been fixed at £6 10*, a rery low sum it must be admitted. The weight is only about two ewt. and for garden vie a tmaller itze can to made.
