Lokdok, Octeber 28

A numerous gathering of the unemployed took place at Trafalgar square to-day* A deputation from the men proceeded to the officers of the Metropolitan Board of Works, and m a ihreatening manner demanded that they should be furnished with employment. A reply to the demand will be gifen by the Board on Monday.

It has been decided not to open the Eord Mayor's fund for the unemployed. Sir R. Hanson advises the increase of local relief instead.
