[rbotbr'b telegrams— oofybight.] London, October 25. The proprietor of the '• Wexford People " has been sentenced to a month's imprisonment for inciting the people to attend a League meeting. The Marquis of Hartington, speaking at Nottingham, said no modifying could make Mr Gladstone's Irish proposals acceptable to Unionists. He complains of the despotism of Mr Gladstone, and considers his offers of the disestablishment of the churches of Scotland and Wales as really bribery.
