AUCTIONEERS' REPORT.
Mr Peter Williams (for Frledlander Bros.) reports for tbe week ending Tuesday, 25 th October, 1887 :— On Friday, the 7th inßt., we held our fortnightly sale rf aheop skins at our East Street Ho ac Baziar. About 500 skins were brought forward, and tbe prices show an Improvident on those obtained at oar last sale. Best crossbred, 43 6 J, 43 81 to 59 6d ; medium, 3s 6d t > 4a 4d ; inferior, la lOd to 3sld ; merinos (£?n<>d) 3a 5d to 3a 6^ ; medium, 2s 4d to 3j 3d ; inferior, la 6d to 2s 4d, A line of well Bayed crossbred skins were sold at 5M per lb. On Saturday, the 22nd itsC, we held our weekly Bale of horaep, &c, at our Kaßt [Surest Horse Bsziar. A. fair entry of 13 horsea came to hand. There was a good attendance of farmers and others, r>ut bidding vas not brisk. Medium draughts, £14, £14 10a, and £'20 ; and a few inferior backs changed hauds at very low rßtes. Pigs. — Weaners, 7a each. Poultry. — Fowls, la 6d to 3j 3d per pair. Implements. — Wooden roller, £6. Harness — Saddle, £1 5j ; leading harness, 15s to 19a. Produce.-^ Dar wen to, Oaraara, 3a per bag ; local, Is 6d to 2a 3 i ; bran, 4s 3d per bag ; oats, la 7d to la 84 per bushel ; fowlß* wheat, 2s 3d per baahel ; oafmea), . 3s per bag ; cheeae, 3d per lb ; tea, 12s 6d per box ; flour, 18s 6d per bag ; mutton, 2d per lb ; bacon, 4£d to 4|d per lb ; hams, 6i per lb ; piano, £31, Furniture and sundries at fair prices. At the Tlnwald Y&rds, on Tuesday, the 25 h lnat, > 2152 sheop, 68 head of cattle, and 9 pigs c«me forward. There was a moderate attendance of farmers : but the sale was not very brisk, although all the lots were sold. Fat crosabreds, lie, 12s 9i, 12a lid, to 14s ; fat lambs, 7s; fat merino ewes, 7b ; store crossbreds, two and 'four-tooth dUto, 8s lOd and 9* 6d ; four-tooth wethers, iv forward condition, lls ; hoggets, 5a sd, 7» ( 7a 3d, 7s 4d, and 9a Id ; {store merino wethers, 3s lOd ; crossbred ewes, with 80 per cent, of lambs, 4s 6d and 7a lid.
