EXTRAORDINARY TREATMENT OF A SHIPWRECKED CREW.

The Spanish coastguards, who aUo went on board, prevented any plundering for the lime being, bat aa noon as the crew left the mountaineers set abonfc taking whatever they conld lay their handa on. The shipwreoked people landed on the beach. Their boat) were then taken from them by the authorities, and there was no accommodation for the crew. By the payment of £5 the captain obtained a boat, and m this the men Bet out to Oamerlnai. They rowed all day and all night, and at last reached Oamerinai, where the authorities kept them on the beaoh with their effects, and would not allow them to take advantage of the shelter offered to them by the representative of the British Oonsnl. Oamerlnao is a fishing village, and the inhabitants took every opportunity of stealing some of their eff cts. At last the shipwrecked people got leave to go to the ahelter at firat tffared them, but by this time the purloining Spaniards had relieved them of a considerable part of their clothing. After this the shipwrnckad people had to undertake another long jonrney before they reaobed Oorunna. The captain and the seoond mate were brought from there to Liverpool m the lila de Mindanao, where the kind effiaeo of the Shipwrecked Mariners' Society were exercised. The Treherbert'ts orew numbered 19 hands.
