AUCTIONEER'S REPORT.

Mr Peter Williams (for Ftiedlander Bros) reports for tho week ending Tuesday, 11th Ootober, 1887 :—

On Friday, the 7th Inst , we held our fortnightly Bale of sheep skins, etc., at our East Street Horse B. zaar. Aboot 750 skins were bronght forward, and the prio6B*obtained show a drop of about 2d to 9d on late prices per skin, which Is m sympathy with the fall In wool, as reported by the late cablegrams from Home. Bast crossbred, 4s 4d, 4s 7d. 4» 91, to 5a 6i ; Medium, 3s to 4a 2d ; Inferior, Is 6i to 2j 91 ; merinos, good, 3s 6s to 4s Id ; medium and Inferior, Is 6d to 3s, A quantity of well saved dry skins were sold at 51 to s£d per lb ; hides, 3d ; inferior fat, la 2d.

On Saturday, the Bth inst, we held our weekly sale of horses at our East Street Horse Bazaar. A fair entry of 12 horses came to hand. There waß a good attendance, but bidding was not brisk, and only a few changed hands. Medium draughts, £15 to £20 ; hacks, £5 15s to £12.

Harness.— Saddles, 25i to £2 153. Potjltry. — Fowls, 1b 6i to 2s ; tarkeys, 6s eaoh.

Produce, — Derwents, Oamaru, 3i to 4s 6i per bag; local, Is 61 to 2i 6d per bag j bath kidneys, 15 s per bag ; Oatmeal, 3a per bag ; Floor, 18) 6d per bag ; tea, 12s 6d per box ; carrots, 2s to 2s 3d per bag ; fowls feed, 2s 3d to 2s 6d per bushel ; prime mutton, 2d per lb j beef, 2d to 2£d per lb. A quantity of furniture at fair rates-

At Tinwald Yards on Tuesday, the 10th inst, about 1064 sheep, 20 head of cattle and 4 pigs came forward. There was not a very large attendance owing to the state of tbe rivers, and a la r ge quantity of stock oould not get to the yards. We quote fat crossbreds, 10s 3d ; two-tooth crossbreds, mix-:d sexeß, 5s 6d ; crossbred ewes, with 120 per cent of lambs, 7s 3d ; four-tooth crossbred ewes and wethers, 7s 6d ; fat heifers, £4 10 to £5, Btore bullock £3 12j 6d,
