The number present is vajlously giver as forty-six or "forty -eight, and nine mire Are said to have boon uocounted forl The crisis was disousaed Informally, and it was agreed ta consider the proceedings of a non-committal character, Ie Is understood that some of those m attendance are not prepared unreaorvedly to follow Major Atkinson or any Government that uiiy be formed, and In order to give time for the consolidation of opinions and views the meeting was adjourned until to-morrow. No resolution of any kind waa come to, but Major Atkins n la reported to have Intimated hia readiness to support any leader on whom the choice of tbd party night fall. A belief is generally expressed that by Taeslay morning, at the latest, tho new Ministry will have been sworn m. The men whosanomea have been most frequently mentioned among the probable holders of portfolios are— Major Atkinson, Csptain Rusae'l, Moaara Beetham, Mitchehon, F<srgup, G. F. Kiohardnon, Soobie Mackenzie, Sir F. Whitaker, md Sir John flail.
