Wool — At the auctions to day the catalogues comprised 10,300 bales, for which there was a better demand. Good greasy wool is m good demand. Melbouknk, September 28. The Manager of the NalioDal Mortgage and Agency Company, New Zealand, reports as follows of the local grain market : — Shipping wheat, 3s yd to 3s 8d; sales only effected with difficulty j malting barley no material change, if anything, weaker, 5s to 6s; New Zealand oats (feeding sorts), as gd to 2s iod ; milling oats, 2s iod to 2s 1 id; New Zealand oats, under bond, weak at 2s to 2,* id.
