A STRANGE FISH
A very extraordinary circumstance, unfortunately attended by fatal consequences (sayg the "Fiji Times" of the loth August), occurred yesterday to a Fijian boy m the Bervlce of Mr St John, The little fellow was fishing, and hooked a specimen, of the liny tribe with exceßaively long and i sharp teeth. After being released from the hook, the fish turned round and fixed ita teeth on the boy's wrist. The endeavor to cause it to loose its hold was attended with the effect that it clang mote tenaciously to ita victim, and was dislodged only after it had torn the sinews and severed an artery, Dr Armstrong was sent for, and although he attended as quickly at possible, the poor boy bad bled to death before the arrival of skilled assistance. Tbia case is peculiar of its kind, and It would be satisfactory to know the description of fish thus capable of carrying the war into Ita enemy's camp,
