MR. PURNELL AT SPRINGBURN.

Mr C. W. Purnell met the electors of the ABhburton electoral district a 1 : Springburn on Thursday evening. There was not a very large attendance only some 30 being present. Mi McCrae occupied the chair. Mr Purnell delivered an addroca In the main similar to his former ones, and, after answering questions, a vote of thanks and cocfiderca waa proposed by Mr Ofcajmao. This elecltod an amendment of thanks but no confidence*, proposed by Mr McFarlano. The amendment waß carried by about 15 to 4.
