Melbournb, September 21. The schooner Awaroa arrived this morning, having on board eight of the crew of tbe perry Castle, which was wrecked off the Auckland Islands. Whilst on a voyage to Geelong from Falmouth the vessel struck on Enderby Island on the 21st March, and fifteen men was drowned, including the captain and officers, The survivors reached the Government depot, and after three weeks' terrible privations were taken from thence on the 20th August by the Awaroa. [The Auckland Island (named in honouE of Lord Auckland) are a group of desol»to ialanda situated to the south of New Za»laud. in Lat. 56deg 40min ; Long. 166dng 42mim, east. The largest is thirty miles long and fifteen broad. Tht Government depot mentioned in the telegram la maintained by the New Zealand Government, and stores are kept thera for the benefit of shipwrecked people who m«y happen to reioh the islands ] ■>.'
