AUCTIONERS' REPORT.
Mr Peter Williams (for Friedlander Bros.) report* for the week ending Tuesday, 13th September, 1887 : — ' On Friday, 9h inefc., we held our fort- j nightly Bale of Bheep skins at oar East Street Borse Bazaar. About 350 akloa came forward, and the following prices were obtained ; — Boat crossbred. 4s Id to 5s 81; medium, Is Ci, 2a 6J,3a to 3i 9d ; merinoa (good), 3s 4d to 33 81 ; medium, 2a 3d to 2a 9d ; lamb skins (medium), laid. We also placed 1 bale ollpe wool at 7:f'J, and 5 bales pieces at sd. On Saturday, the 10th inst., we held our weekly sale of horses at our East Stree Horse Baziar. A fair number of hones came forward, and we placed all but 1. Good draught mare, £21 ; medium gelding, £16 10s ; aged do, £10 to £15 ; hack, £8 ; also, Suffolk spaniel, £1 2a Gd. Poultry.— Fowls, Is lOd per pair. Produce — Derwent potatoes, 30s to 42s per ton ; kidneys (Snowfhkee), Id per lb ; Bath, 7a Gl per bag ; Lapatoi c, 7a 6d per bag ; oatmeal, 3j per bag • flour, 18) 6d par bag ; tea, 12j Gd per box ; sugar, 2sd per Ib ; onions, H per Ib ; cheese, 3J per lb j chick wheat, 9j per lb ; oats (inferior), 2) 3d per bag ; bran 4i 3i per bag ; mutton, 2d per lb; beef, 2Jd per lb ; veal. 2£d per lb ; alao, a quantity of furniture furniture «nd harnoaa at full rates. At the rinwjld yards on Tueaday, 13th inst, there was a veiy email entry of sheep, only about GOO came forward, and •bout 50 head of cattle. There was a fair attendance bat very little business d»ne. Medium $-bred hoggotts 7b 3i ; fat heifers £4 to £6 5j ; store steers and heifers, £3 to £'6 sa ; calvei, 14a.
