[reutGß's TBLEGMMB— COPYRIGHT.] London, September 13. Consols have advanced # to ioii& New Zealand Inscribed Stock remains at 99^. Colonial breadstuff s and tallow are without quotable change. At to-day's wool sales 1 1,800 bales were offered. The market is steady but inactive. Brandy (Hennessy's and Maxell's) advanced from 16s to 16s 6d perg&ftm. (SPKOUL. TO PRESS ASSOCIATION.) London, September 13. Hop picking will be completed this week. Recent rains have discolored' a majority of the crop, and the fiaest descriptions are scarce. Sugar is quoted at 125 o,d per cwr. The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Company, Limited, has received the following cable message from London, dated 13th September, 1887:— Wool — Since the close of the last sales the following sorts have declined, viz., medium and inferior greasy and medium and inferior clothing washed, medium to good, also inferior scoured merino, id per 1b ; greasy merino lambs, j£d to id per lb. Other kinds are unchanged. Attendance of both Home and foreign buyers is fair, and competition fairly active. Up to date 57,000 bales have been sold. Wheat market quiet. New Zealand longberried is worth 33s per 4961b5. Tallow market quiet. Good mutton and beef tallows are worth respectively 22s o,d and 22s per cwt. Leather market steady. Best sides are worth iid per lb.
