I told them thai I could not obtain the use of the school' room, and the meeting would require tc be poatponed. I then went away to tht railway station, from whence I waa tc walk to the Rangltata Hotel. The crowd went away also, and they were throwing flour about among themselves. I hac gone about half -an hour on my waj home, when 8 or 9 men on horseback rod< up and threw fl mr at me. I took uj Btonea and threatened to use them if th< men persisted m throwing Jbur, Tne] said, "Rolleaton haa put you up." J replied that I was independent of anyon< and intended going to the poll.
