A. very Interesting communication to the " Medical News " has been made by Dr F. Peyre Porcher, of Charles ton, on the Influence of the recent earthquake ibocks In that city upon the health of the Inhabitants. In addition to the natural alamo and fright which ware quite universal, aome persona were attacked with nausea and Tomitiog, which recurred ci persisted la eeveral cases for days. Two gentlemen on the islands eighty miles from Charleston had their eyes filled with tears not to be repressed, but not earned by alarm, or fears for their personal tafety, for the danger there was sot Imminent. Many persons experienced decidedly eleotrlpal disturbances^ which Trere. repeated upon the mcoessive reoyrrence of the ahopks.
