THE PROCLAMATION OF THE LEAGUE.

In the House of Commons yesterday a spirited discussion took place on the action of the Government m proclaiming a Nationalist meeting convened for Sunday next at Ennis, county Clare. In the course of the discussion, Mr Dillon declared that the meeting would be held, notwithstanding the proclamation, and jl bloodshed occurred the Chief Secretary for Ireland would be answerable for the consequences. London, September 8. Large forces of military and police have been despatched to Ennis, County Clare, m view of a meeting to be held there to-morrow. It is expected fully forty thousand persons will attend the meeting, which will be addressed by j Mr Dillon and other members of Parliament.
