ANOTHER INVENTIVE SERVANT GIRL
9 Wellington, September 2. A domestic servant named Minnie S >arle, eighteen years of age, was arrested tola afternoon, charged with stealing a lady's silver watch and hair guard, the property of her employer, Me F. W. Spunthorpe. This morning aooused reported that the catch of a window had baen knooked back and the bottom sash raised. There were also spots of candlegreaee oa the window sill. On search being mide it was discovered that the watch and guard were missing. The police were oomraunioated with, and Dateotlvo Ohrystall on arrival accused the girl of beiag the ihio', after making a eearch of the room, where the guard was found under her pillow. She admitted the offence.
