Bums paid for gone, ammunition, electric lights, torpedo boats, £163,589. These figures aro ap to 31st Maroh, 1887, and inclusive of expenditure inourred since that date of £ 13,665 and £71,124 respectively. The Association has oirealated considerable information reipeotlng the qaestiona of retrenchment, and opened extensive correspondence with kindred societies throughout New Zealand, and also with leading politicians In the colony respecting the matter.
