Me Napier, who appeared for the .executors under tbe will, intimated that he had no objection to probate being sought by a formal action at law. At the same time ho took the opportunity to draw attention to the undertakers' bill which had just been received from San Francisco. The account, which amounted to 422 10 l 8 centa (upwards of £87; was handed to his Honor, who remarked on perusing it— "Gracloaa ! If dead men coat as much m 'Frlaoo it must be very expensive to live there. These costs are something awful." Sir Julias Yogel has received the following telegram from Captain Falrohild dated Kermadeos, August 16th : — " I send you thla from Sund»y Island, by the steamer Richmond.
