A RAILROAD DISASTER

A tumble accident occurred at the crossing cf the Grand Trnnk and Miohigan Central Railway, m St Thomas, Ontario, about seven o'clock on the evening of July 15th. It was ciUßed by an excursion train on the Grand Trank from Port Stanley running into a passing freight train on the Miohigan Central, made np of a number of cars laden with oil. Thli tork fire, and the fl«mos were com muni cated to the excursion train, many of the passengers on which met with a frightful death. The number who perished is stated at 100, and injured forty. Ware houses and dwellings m the vicinity were burned, and the property loss will reaoh 6000 dollars. The main cause of the accident was the failure of the air brakes to work.
