AN EXCITING SCENE.
An exciting scone occurred m the Queen's Theaire, Manchester, on June 16th, during the progress of a sensational drama, entitled "A Mother* Sin." Towards the oloso of the third aot, when the hero, who ohamplous the heroine of the piece, seems to be m the power of the viliian of the piece, a man In the gallery rote to his feet iv a terribly excited atate, shook his fiat at the acfcir who was lmparaonatlog the vidaii, and then took a fearfql leap from the gallery to the stag* on whioh he fell with a sickening thad, just beyond the footlights. Actors and audienoa were much exoitod, and shrieks were heard from all parts of the house. The man was at or>oe carried otf the stage and removed to tho Royal Infirmary whore it waa fouid that his leg was broken The disbnnoo from the gallery t) the stage is 30 t_ Strange to say, the man'vi name is Madevllle, as Is that of the heroine of the pleoe.
