The Surveyor reported as follows : — (1) Surveyor's Road.— As it was found hat most of the old timber m the bridges mended, to be repaired on this road was unound, new timber has been put m, so that m act the bridges are now as good as ever. No would 86k to have the bridge on the first nek put m proper repair ; the water having scoured the bridge considerably, it will 30 necessary to put m sheet piling to protect it. We have had small repairs done to the >ridge at the boundary, but this part of the oad requires draining before it can be much »cd.
(2) Fords on Dawson and Beach Roads.— We have inspeoted with Mr Dawson these oads with a view to relieve the roads from ttorm water. Mr Dawson will be at the spense of a fcrd on the Waterton road opposite his drain between the school and the reek. It is proposed also to xaake fords on be Waterton road, at the angle between the :ottages and the school, and on the Beach •oad, about 32 chains below the school road. (3) Ford's Road.— We have had the bad >laces m this road repaired as well an possible, it being verj difficult to procure ehiDgle. The report was adopted. RATES As the rates were coming In very I'owly it was resolved to give public notice that all rates unpaid by the 20th »f September be cued for. ACCOUNTS. After passing aooounta, tha Board adjourned. ■
