Chbistohukoh, Aaeuat 8. Eden George announces himself a candidate fer Christchurch South. He supports thb Ministerial programme. It is stated that Mr Henry Thomson, who represented Ohriatohuroh North m Parliament from 1881 to 1884, opposes Mr Ayers for Chrlstohurch South, on the Opposition ticket Inveroargill, August 8. Mr B. D. McLachliu has retired from the contest for Hokonul through illhealth, leaving Mr Cowan (old member) and a Mr Baldey to run for it. A requisition Is being signed asking Sir Julius Yogel to deliver an addres3 here.
