ELECTION NEWS.
GISBORNJB, August 3. 1 Mr L->cke, late member, addreesod a ' meeting last night and announced that through continaed ill-health he was obliged to withdraw from the contest. The meeting expressed sympathy with Sir Locke on his enforced retirement and gave three cheers for him. Mr Andrew Graham, late Chairman of the Harbor Board, and a prominent merchant, tvs decided to stand now that Mr Locke has retired,
