The ordinary monthly manilng of the Tlnwald Town^B >ard was hold on Friday, i July 29 Present-— Messrs Clark (Chairman), Shearer and Soott. TBNDBRS ACCSPrBD. The Chairnnn reported that he bad aeoepted the following t<n'lers'for works authorised to bo due viz — Formation of footpath and side channel In Hulland street, W. Dwyer, at 9i 3d par chain, and 1) 61 per ohain for cutting go»B to water race. Shingling Oartar'a terrace, W. Diryer, at la 2d per cubio yard. — The aotlon of the Chairman was confirms i, KOAD IN GROVR FABM, Mr Bollock m behalf of the Bank of New South Wales, interviewed the Board re road to be taken orer m Grove Farm. After a long discussion it was resolvod that a& all the members were not presont a special meeting to consider the question be held on Wednesday August 3 PEBiONAIi APPLICATION. Mr Oorrigan interviewed the Board re water lying m front of the Poplar paddook —Surveyor to report to special meeting. OORRBSfONDBNOE. Correspondence was read as follows :— 1. From Mr F. Schnlder, asking the Board to form a few chains of footpath at the junction of Laghmor road and Meloomba street— Surveyor to report to special meeting. 2. From Ashburton Borough Oonnoil re Board of Health. — It was resolved to co-operate with the Borough Council. COUNTY DRAIN. The Clerk w*s instructed to write tc the County Counoil requesting that the county drain running alongside the Bailway .line should be cleaned out. BATE 3 The Clerk was instructed to write tc the Bank of New South Wales re balance of rates duo m Grove Farm. MISCELLANEOUS. - After passing accounts and transacting a quantity of routine business, the meeting adjourned . •
