After a long discussion it was resolvod that a& all the members were not presont a special meeting to consider the question be held on Wednesday August 3 PEBiONAIi APPLICATION. Mr Oorrigan interviewed the Board re water lying m front of the Poplar paddook —Surveyor to report to special meeting. OORRBSfONDBNOE. Correspondence was read as follows :— 1. From Mr F. Schnlder, asking the Board to form a few chains of footpath at the junction of Laghmor road and Meloomba street— Surveyor to report to special meeting. 2. From Ashburton Borough Oonnoil re Board of Health. — It was resolved to co-operate with the Borough Council. COUNTY DRAIN. The Clerk w*s instructed to write tc the County Counoil requesting that the county drain running alongside the Bailway .line should be cleaned out. BATE 3 The Clerk was instructed to write tc the Bank of New South Wales re balance of rates duo m Grove Farm. MISCELLANEOUS. - After passing accounts and transacting a quantity of routine business, the meeting adjourned . •
