Corn Sacks. Chbistchukch, Jaly 30 This morning a deputation from the Chamber ef Commerce and Corn Exchange Interviewed Mr Richardson re the proposed alteration of the s'z. of the standard grain sack from 240 to 200 lbs. Mr Richardson said if a change was generally, demanded by those Interested there would be no difficulty m altering the railway | regulations so as to carry 12 new sacks fcr the same money aB charged for the carriage of 10 oi the present size. Alleged Larceny. This morning O. D, H.rria and Thomas Potter were charged with stealing a large quantity of fl.nnel, holland, aud Bilee'a from the IXI.O premises. Marks, tailor, Gilbanksand Wilson, second hand dealers, were charged with receiving the same. The prisoners were remanded. The value , of tbe stolen goods Is £50. Body Found. Dunedin, July 30 The body of a rabbiter, named Thomas Moore, was discovered frozen to death on the Carrick range, near Arrow t_wn on Tuesday last.
