Some exciting proceedings havo taken plaice recently at a little town on the coast of Glamorgan, owing to an elopement. A married woman ran away with a young man who had been lodging with her husband. After wandering about for some time the pair returned during the absence of theJnjured Bpouse, and' took possession of the house. Two effigies, which had been manufactured In the meantime, were set ablaze, and paraffin oil was was poured upon the fHmes, which beoame so vivid as to attraot a large concourse of people from the Burrounding districts, and it \r&a feared an extensive fire had broken oat. A sound thrashing was subsequently administered to tbe seducer, and the unfaithful wife alao received considerable illuaage at the hands of her own sex present. After muoh rough treatment the guilty couple fouud themaolvea together, and beat a hasty retreat.
