THE EGYPTIAN CONVENTION.
Rustem Pasha, the Turkish Ambassador, had an interview with Lord Salisbury, at which he proposed that fresh negotiations be opened for the settlement of the Egyptian question on a basis differing from that embodied m the proposed Anglo-Turkish Convention.
