ADDINGTON LIVE STOCK MARKET.

The fine and mild weather on Wednes day brought ont a good entry of stock, and a more than average attendance of buyers and others. »

Fat Cattle — A good entry yarded, though far below lest week, heavy entry; the demand also showed a slaekening eff, and the increase in values then obtained not being upheld. The qua'ity of the stock was ln most cases all that could be wished fcr, though a trifle light. Bullocks sold at from £5 2s Cd to £6 10a, one good line going for £8 7s 6d per head. Heifers Bold at from £3 15a to £7 2a 6d per head Fat cows from £4 to £6, being from 15s to 17s per lOOlb, according to the qi • !ty. Store cattle — Only a moderate entty, principally odd lots of dry cows, with hero and there a pen of heifers and steers. Tbe demand was sluggish, late values were not altered ; the principal sale was a pen of three-year-olds steers at £4 Is per head, dry cows at from 26s to 50s per head. In the dairy stock market a very fair entry was yarded, principally good sorts. The demand was fairly healthy, prices showing an altera tlon. Good cows, young to middle age, realised at from £5 103 to £7 15s per bead.

Fat Shbbp — Not a great number yarded, bnt a capital entry as regards quality. The demands was brisk, both from local and export buyer b. and all lines sold at enhanced values. Crossbred wether?, primeit, Bold at from 12s to 16s 6d per head, higher sorts at from 9s 3d to 10s 6d. Crossbred ewes sold at from 8a 6d to 10s. Very heavy weights ftom lis 6d to 15i 2d per head, being at the rate of from l£d to 2_d per lb, acoording to the quality. Store sheep— A very few lines yarded, but the demand showed that more could easily have been absorbed. The sales wore a line of 170 two and four- tooth crossbred wethers at from 8) 7d to 9« Id, and a line of 107 two-tooth ewes and wethers at 9a ; 112 merino ewes at 2s lid.

Pios— A good market, but not suoh a number as have lately been yarded. The demand was very healthy, all lots selling at quite late values ; baconers at from 30s to 45a per head ; wethers from 18s to 34. 6d. Stores met with a better enquiry than, of late.
