LINOOLN.

The old electorate has been decreased a by giving to Akaroa all the country front. T ing to Lake Ellosmare between Lincoln and Elleamere stations, also by giving to Avon the populous dlstrioi; between Balswell Junction road and Sydeohsm, The new eleotorate comprises the balance of the old eleotorate the country portion of the old Avon eleotorate west of the Prebbleton and Kaiapoi Junction road, a large portion of the old' Coleridge eleotorate, and a portion of the Upper Waimakarirl formally m Cheviot, Tho boundaries of the new eleotorate Mft: — Beginning at Lincoln township by a road line to the nearest bend of the Halswell river, than northerly by that river to Baluweil Junction road, thenoe northwesterly by that read to Prebbleton road, thence notherly by Prebbleton and , Kaiapoi Junction road to the Waimaklrlrl, thenoe northwesterly by that river to the end of JPuketaraki range ; thenoe by that range- and east, north, and west to the boundaries of the riding of Upper Waimakirlrl to south end of Lake Lyndon, thence by the boundary of the Coleridge tiding to the Hawkins river, thenoe by the course of that river to its junction frith the Selwyn, thence by the etelwyn to the Linooln and Southbrldge railway, thenoe northeasterly along the\ railway to the starting point.
