The Commlttee'n report and balance sheet were read as follows :—Yoar Committee have riiaoßpleasure iffiiyfog^ before you a statement of aocounti during their term of office. 'Although a considerable loes was experienced at the Spring meeting, the Club oan be congratulated on the success of the Autumn Meeting which more than compensated for the previous loss. In order to bring this about, your Committeeadopted a programme suited to* » certain" olaes of horses and gave greater enoonragement to local racilog. A . proposal foe amalgamation oHthe Tradesmen^ Racing 1 Club with this Olub was brought before your Committee, who expressed their willingness to fall m with the proposal on certain terms, but, the negotiation has not resulted m any action being taken by the T.R.C. As it was found that the Club were losing annually by the training track, it was abandoned at the expiration of the lease at the end of last > year. The present bolder of the ground la still keeping it In working order, so no loss has been occasioned to local hone, owners. An agreement has been entered into with Messrs Mason and Roberts to work their totallsator on the Club's ground for a period at a satisfactory figure.

The Chairman In moving the adoption of the report and balance sheet alluded to the action that had lately been iakfn with regard to the totalisator. Owing tS the defeat of the Government the BJII brought m by the Hon. G. McLean had fallen through, whtoh still left the matter m an unsatisfactory state, though he thought no honorable man would care to put himself m the same position at Stuart m the late totalisator oase at Duned(n. He understood that: the Metropolitan Olub were moving m the direction desired. therefore it would be better for this Club to wait. The satisfactory result of the last autuinu meeting resulting m a profit of about £250 was a guide to. the Committee In framing future programme*. If the Club's finances lnoreaaed as then seemed now every probability, It would be desirable to do something m improving the grand stand and making more aooom* modation.

Mr Stitt seconded the motion, and said that the balance sheet showed a more satisfactory state of things than had existed for some time.

The meeting then proceeded with the election of officers wfth the following results :— President, B. G. Wright; Vice Presidents ; John Grlggand W. 0. Walker: Stewards, 0, W, Pornall. The meeting then ended.
