Mr E. O. Staveley (for New Zehnd Loan and Mercantile Agenoy Company, Limited) reports on Aihbncton Bale, 7th hut. :— There were fair entries of stock, Including about 6000 aheap, and a good attendance of farmers and dealers. There was an aotlve demand for all young etook at decidedly enhanced values. F*t crossbred ewes made 53 6d ; forward two and four-tooth mixed orossbreda, 6j 4d and 7s 9i ; mixed two-tooths, In forward condition, 7s 9i, 83 Id, and 8i 7d ; two-tooth half bred wethers, In fair condition, 7a 3d ; medium crossbred lambs, 4i, 4* 4d, and 4ssdj full mouthed merino ewes. 1b 6d and 2s 6d ; forward merino ewes, 4s ; two four, and six-tooth mixed orossbreds, 6s 41 ; two and four-tooth crossbred ewes, 6s lid; six-tooth &wea, 7a 4d ; mixed ages, orossbred ewes m lamb, 4i lid and 53 Id ; two-tooth halfbrad downs, 4s 7d, Fat oows and heifers, £3 15s to £5 ; forward steers, £4, £% 10s, £5 ss. The market was animated throughout, and a better tone prevailed than of late.
