We have been asked to state that the next Ingleside has been arranged definitely to take place en Friday, 17th instant. At the B.M. Court this morning the you tig man who had beon remanded on Monday on a charge of lunacy was farther remanded for three days. A Jubilee pigeon shooting match is announced to take place at Waterton on Friday, 17th June. The annual meeting of ratepayers m the Goldstream Road Distriot m [May lapsed for want of a quorum. At the ordinary meeting of the Board on Monday last the Chairman submitted the annual balance-sheet, duly audited by Mr Ollivier. On the motion of Mr Dobson, Mr E. G. Wright was re-elected Chaiiman. The Board deoided to make application to the County Council, under Clause 1 85 of the Public Works Act, 1882, to place the boundary road under the legal oontrol of either the Coldstream or the Longbeaoh Road Board, the bridges and culverts upon tbo said road being m a dangerous condition, and no Board empowered to deal with them. The Chairman was requested to apply to the County Council for the balance of the subsidy reeeired by the Council on behalf of.the Board, after deducting the amount due as its con* tribution to the Hospital [and Charitablo Aid Fund.
