The following is the Corn Exohange report for the week ending Friday, 27th inst .—

A fair amount of business (principally from store parcels) has been transacted daring the past week. Several large lines of wheat have been taken for shipment and other orders are on hand for execution, Sydney advices for potatoes are not at all reassuring to shippers, consequently the local market is com* parattvely at a standstill. Wheat has a hardening tendency, but m the face of the large bulk held m store the rise most naturally be very slow. We quote Tnsoan and Pearl (prime) at 3s 03; Hunters, 3s 53, with second quality varying from 3s 2d to 3s 4d ; whole chicken wheat is firm at 3s, and broken at 2s 9i to 2i lid.

Oats. — Short heavy descriptions have slightly improved m value, and are now firm at la 9Ad for heavy feed, while milling are wanted at la lOd ; long and inferior sorts are offering plentifully at Is 7d to 1h Bi, with moderate business transpiring.

Barley. — After operating freely last week, maltsters have not been bo keen, bat any prime lines are taken at fall value, viz , 4* ; mediae quality commands 3i 6d to 3s 9J, and feed at 2a 3d to 2s 4d.

Beans are nearly all oat of Growers' hand's and are worth 2a lid to 3^ Id.

Fjias — Prussian Blues, true to name, nro quiet at 3a 2d to 3a 41 ; feed are worth 2s 8d to 2s lOd,

Grass seed. —The values are nominally the same as last quotations, with but few transactions.

Potatoes have plenty of sellers at 25s to 26s at country stations, but bay era deoline to speoulate at these. figures unless for actual orders on haud; The majority of farmers are pitting m the hopes of an improved demand later m the season.

Daihy Pkoduor.— -Batter has a fair enquiry, and up to 8d has been paid for prime tab of approved makei. Oheesi is very qutet at 5 1 for loaf, and 3§d to 4d for large and medium sizes. ~

The above prices are those paid to farmers and for delivery f.o.b. LytteltoD, sacks extra.
